JENGA TAIFA is a Pan-African, veteran-led initiative uniting servicemen, women, families, and allied patriots across Uganda and the diaspora. We champion peace advocacy, unity, and socio-economic transformation by empowering communities, and advancing innovative development programs that secure a prosperous future for all.
JENGA TAIFA COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION (UGANDA) LTD popularly referred to as JENGA TAIFA is a Pan-African initiative and Veteran Led-Development Agency that brings together veteran servicemen and women who once served in; the military, the police, the prisons, auxiliary forces (LDU, Amuka boys, Arrow boys, Home guards, Vigilantees, Ex-gratia Militants, Crime Preventers/Special Police Constables and Political cadres) including veteran spouses, children, returnees from special missions abroad, beneficiaries of Government of Uganda Amnesty for their involvement in subversive and terrorist acts and have since demobilized now working on peace diplomacy and community development and Allied Compatriots like; Historical Freedom Fighters from FRONASA/UPM/NRM fraternity within the country and in diaspora who subscribes to JENGA TAIFA's Vision, mission, core values, objectives, philosophy, goals and strategies to harness and transformation members and beneficiaries livelihoods in equitable and sustainable manner.
The membership based organization was formed as a result of emerging critical development challenges affecting the categories highlighted above for whom management has adopted innovative sustainable solutions to socially and economically empower the society in contribution to equitable socio-economic growth and development for the population within the Great African Green-belt Peace Enclave Uganda Chapter.
It is assumed that, through mindset change orientation of mobilized members and beneficiaries, the organization shall greatly facilitate peaceful settlement and production of sufficient food and high value crops, animals, fish and apiary to diversify over reliance on traditional export crops but introduce more quality high value products that meet the competitive market for high end consumers including; mitigation and control of adverse climatic effects, drought, hunger, famine, poverty, unemployment, redundancy, violent crimes, political instability, crime network like psychoactive substances, drugs and alcohol abuse, human and arms trafficking, acts of terrorism and economic sabotage among others.
The current membership is more than 5,000 drawn from across the country with prospective membership strength of more than 5,000,000 outside the cap of Uganda’s households heavily held in subsistence economy and within the projected 39% held under absolute poverty across the country.
The founding subscribers and pioneer promoters are drawn from Central(Victoria Program Area), Western(Rwenzori Program Area), Eastern(Elgon Program Area) and Northern Uganda(Upper Kyoga Program Area) covering from the sub-regions of Greater Kampala, Greater Wakiso, Greater Luweero, Greater Mukono, Greater Mpigi, Greater Mubende, Greater Masaka, Greater Busoga, Greater Bukedi, Greater Bugisu, Greater Sebei, Greater Teso, Greater Karamoja, Greater Acholi, Greater Lango, Greater West Nile, Greater Bunyoro, Greater Tooro, Greater Rwenzori, Greater Bushenyi, Greater Kigezi and Greater Mbarara respectively where we anticipate to build a formidable organization national in character with strategic focus on influencing the majority of disempowered and less privileged Ugandans to participate in Government Program Interventions dedicated at improving their personal well-being and community as a whole.
